I've heard about Toastmasters, but what do you actually do at a meeting?

Forget some of the myths you may have heard! Our meetings are fun and friendly.

We typically have a formal business session (where you can develop skills such as chairing a meeting, leadership and techniques in running a smooth meeting).

We also have a number of prepared and unprepared speeches delivered by our members. Unprepared speeches train us to think "on our feet" and "talk off the cuff" while the prepared speeches allow us to deliver conscise logical structure on a variety of topics.

Coupled with all this, we also have time for a great supper.

Everything in our meeting is evaluated, providing encouraging and useful feedback for our members to take home and build on.

Of course, as a guest, you can even have your chance to participate! Don't delay. Come along to our next meeting!

Take a look at an example agenda (PDF file, opens in a new window).
